EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST-PARAMEDIC (EMT-P)

Job Summary:
This position is intended to represent Industrial Paramedic Services at various field locations and provide premium quality emergency medical standby to our clients using a paramedic’s scope of practice.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Paramedic medical standby in the field including, but not limited to: fracs, forest fires, rigs and pipeline jobs
  • Representing IPS in a courteous, positive and productive manner
  • Drive to job site in an ambulance or MTC in a safe manner allowing for all road conditions.
  • Clean and inspect vehicle before leaving field office and ensure it is clean upon returning it to the field office at end of tour. Maintain cleanliness on job location.
  • Complete and submit all forms and paperwork in a tidy, complete manner
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Valid registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • Class 4 driver’s license
  • Valid H2S
  • Valid PST ticket an asset
  • Previous oil and gas experience consider an asset but not required

Schedule of Work:
At IPS we know that each person’s decision to work industrial pre-hospital standby is different. For that reason, we give employees the flexibility to choose what type of shift works best for them. Typically, employees choose a 3 weeks on, 1 week off or 2 weeks on, 1 week off rotation, however we are definitely flexible to try and accommodate what will work best for you!

  • Drive to job site in an ambulance or MTC in a safe manner allowing for all road conditions.
  • Clean and inspect vehicle before leaving field office and ensure it is clean upon returning it to the field office at end of tour. Maintain cleanliness on job location.

  • Alberta upgrade considered an asset
