Industrial Paramedic Services Ltd is the leading premium medical service provider in the Oil and Gas Industry, and is currently accepting resumes for Branch Coordinator for our Dawson Creek, BC satellite office. This position is a 6 month term position with the possibility of extension.

Summary of Duties:

IPS Branch Coordinator is responsible for supporting operations and IPS field staff in the Dawson Creek, BC location. They will ensure all field personnel are working within the IPS philosophy, regulations and requirements, while adhering to all health and safety practices, policies and procedures. This position is responsible also for coordinating purchase transactions and maintaining inventory of materials, equipment and stock, under the Operations Manager. The Branch coordinator will also assist with maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles as per the Fleet Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordination of the IPS Dawson Creek satellite office
• Support Operations and field staff
• Equipment and inventory
• Invoicing
• Mentor and Training

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary education in paramedicine. (OFA3, PCP, ACP)
• Several years of experience in a medical capacity in the field
• Valid drivers license
• H2S Alive
• Petroleum Safety Training (PST) or Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) with Electronic General Safety Orientation (eGSO)

Job Summary:
This position is intended to represent Industrial Paramedic Services at various field locations accross Canada and provide premium quality emergency medical standby to our clients using a paramedic’s scope of practice.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Paramedic medical standby in the field including, but not limited to: fracs, oil and gas drilling rigs and pipeline jobs
  • Representing IPS in a courteous, positive and productive manner
  • Drive to job site in an ambulance or MTC in a safe manner allowing for all road conditions.
  • Clean and inspect vehicle before leaving field office and ensure it is clean upon returning it to the field office at end of tour. Maintain cleanliness on job location.
  • Complete and submit all forms and paperwork in a tidy, complete manner
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Valid registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • Class 5 driver’s license
  • Valid H2S Alive ticket
  • Valid PST ticket
  • ACLS
  • Previous oil and gas experience consider an asset but not required

Schedule of Work:
2 weeks ON and 2 weeks OFF

Schedule of Work: At IPS we know that each person’s decision to work industrial pre-hospital standby is different. For that reason, we give employees the flexibility to choose what type of shift works best for them. Typically, employees choose a 3 weeks on, 1 week off or 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation, however we are definitely flexible to try and accommodate what will work best for you!
